Lately I’ve been really wanting to head over to the aquarium…so I thought some under the sea inspired nails were in order. To get the water effect, I did some saran wrap nails! And then I hand-painted the rest.

What I Used:
-OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue
-Zoya Robyn
-OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons
-Lechat Nail Art Stripers in Brown, Orange, Purple, Black, Yellow, blah blah blah.

Some products in this post were provided to me by OPI’s PR.

For this design, I used “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Hokusai as my inspiration. I love doing nail art inspired by famous paintings, drawings, etc. so this was a fun manicure to do!

What I Used:
-Essie Case Study
-OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons
-Lechat Nail Art stripers in dark/light blue, white, & black

Some products in this post were provided to me by OPI’s PR.

I’m not really sure this fits into “nail art”, but… These are made out of tissue paper (¿papel de china?). It’s something I had wanted to try for a while and I finally did. :) These are super easy and fun to do! :D

Photographer Dina Goldstein’s series “Fallen Princesses“ has actually been around since 2009 but I had never posted the photographs as a complete set before. The project looks at Disney fairy tale princesses and their harshly realistic modern day lifestyles. Seems not everybody lives happily ever after. This project has won several awards, been published internationally in magazines, analyzed by experts in the field of Fairytale literature and studied in High schools and Universities.

Dina Goldstein is now officially on my Top Ten Photographers List. This work is ballin’ fantastic. Certainly puts a new spin on the whole princess fantasy obsession of this country.
